Case Study – Toro Gold

Server Replacement

The challenge

Toro Gold is a gold exploration company focused on Africa. Since 2009 the company has established a portfolio of nine early to mid-stage gold exploration projects across six countries. The portfolio is being developed to provide investors with risk diversification on both a technical and jurisdictional basis. The projects are at differing stages of development to provide near term and future growth opportunities. They requested Prosyn to assist with their IT needs and for the replacement of their Server.

The solution

After the initial assessment by Prosyn consultants to ensure the proposed solutions would fit their requirements, a senior engineer proceeded by performing the initial Server build in-house before delivery to the client office. Once onsite, the engineer decommissioned the old UPS and Server, ensured that their email were working correctly, checked to see if everyone could log in with their new passwords, and ensured that their BlackBerry devices were also working correctly and syncing to the new Server.

The Outcome

Prosyn assisted with the new Server requirement to ensure that it was in line with their company growth, giving them a good foundation to build upon based on their business plan over the next 3 to 5 years. The new Server will help speed up the day to day tasks as well as ensure everything is working correctly over the coming years.
